**Q:** Good morning, sir. It's an honor to have you here today. Can you please introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your background?


**Adeniyi:** Thank you for having me. My name is Olamide Adeniyi, and I'm the founder of Adeniyi Ventures, a conglomerate that operates in various sectors including real estate, hospitality, and agriculture. I was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, and I come from a family of entrepreneurs. Growing up, I was always fascinated by business and the idea of creating something from scratch.


**Q:** That's impressive! What inspired you to start your own business, and what was your first entrepreneurial venture?


**Adeniyi:** Ah, yes. I've always been driven by the desire to create something that would leave a lasting impact on society. My first entrepreneurial venture was a small food processing business I started while I was still in university. I saw an opportunity to capitalize on the growing demand for healthy and convenient food options in Nigeria. The business was a success, and it allowed me to save up enough capital to start my first major venture – Adeniyi Ventures.


**Q:** That's amazing. What were some of the biggest challenges you faced when starting out, and how did you overcome them?


**Adeniyi:** Oh, there were many challenges! One of the biggest was accessing funding. As a young entrepreneur, it was difficult to get banks or investors to take a chance on me. I had to rely on my own savings and bootstrap the business for several years before we were able to secure funding.


Another challenge was navigating the regulatory environment. As a entrepreneur, you're constantly dealing with different government agencies and ministries, and it can be overwhelming. But we managed to build relationships with key stakeholders and learn how to navigate the system effectively.


**Q:** That's great advice. What advice would you give to young entrepreneurs in Nigeria who are just starting out?


**Adeniyi:** First and foremost, I would say that they should be prepared to take risks. Starting a business is never easy, and there will be setbacks along the way. But if they're not willing to take calculated risks, they'll never achieve their goals.


Secondly, I would advise them to focus on solving real problems in society. Don't just start a business because it's trendy or because you think it's going to make you rich. Start a business because you're passionate about solving a problem or making a difference in people's lives.


Thirdly, I would say that they should be willing to learn from their mistakes. Nobody starts out as a successful entrepreneur overnight. We all make mistakes along the way, but it's how we learn from those mistakes that matters.


**Q:** Those are great tips. Can you tell us about some of the most successful projects or initiatives under Adeniyi Ventures?


**Adeniyi:** Yes, of course! One of our most successful projects is our real estate development company, which has built several residential and commercial properties across Lagos. We've also launched a number of hospitality ventures, including a luxury hotel chain and a chain of restaurants.


In terms of agriculture, we've started a project that focuses on sustainable farming practices and promoting local food production. We're working with small-scale farmers to help them increase their yields and improve their livelihoods.

**Adeniyi:** Yes, we do! We're currently working on several new projects, including the launch of a new chain of convenience stores across Lagos. We're also expanding our hospitality portfolio with new hotel openings in major cities across Nigeria.


In addition, we're exploring opportunities in renewable energy and looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint as a company.


**Q:** Well, congratulations on all your successes so far! What advice would you give to your younger self just starting out as an entrepreneur?


**Adeniyi:** Ah, that's an easy one! I would tell my younger self to be more patient and not to get discouraged by setbacks or failures. Starting a business is not easy, and it takes time to build momentum.


I would also advise myself to be more open-minded and willing to learn from others. There are so many people who have been successful in business who can offer valuable insights and advice.


Finally, I would tell myself to stay focused on my vision and not get distracted by short-term goals or distractions.
